am i jumping all namby pamby from tree to tree..?

well boys and girls, the rumors are true. i am actually into the idea of getting a cat. i know, i know, "you're allergic, you hate them with an unreasoning passion, you think they have serious personality issues worse than most of your weirdo friends..." well, maybe i'm getting calmer in my old age, or perhaps just more complacent. either way i really do like the idea of having a cat around. blue and i have already gone over the whole thing with a fine toothed comb. she was very scared that i was just doing it to make her happy, but i want a pet. and dogs are not great in the apartment we have. we want to find a house to rent, but thats gonna take some time, and cats are easy, not only because she pretty much wants to do everything that owning a cat entails, but they are very independent. and i have lived with cats before, it sucks for the first month or two, but my body does get used to it. hell, the last cat i lived with was long haired and it ripped up the back of my neck whilst i slept. and you wonder why i didn't like them much...
so for all you friends and loved ones out there worried, don't. i want the fuzzy little bugger around. i have met some rad cats. and that is what we're gonna try to find.
onto other news...
i am stating this now. i am no longer going to consume fast food. the shit is disgusting. and yes, i did just watch super size me. barf. no more mickey-d's or wendy's or carls junior or, god help me, in and out burger. ouch. man thats gonna suck just for the in and out burger... but the shit is bad for you, and i'm done with it. i'm trying to eat better. more salad, less crap, but i just love the crap so gorram much! but i gotta do it or i'll die of a fat heart at 50, and that ain't cool, man. blue is helping, she's definately got her eye on me, and pulls no punches in telling how crappy my food intake. i need that. badly. i still drink WAAAY too much soda, and eat WAAAY too much sugar, but i am looking at veggies as less than disgusting. which is pretty new for me. hell, i ate asparagus a couple of weeks ago... AND LIKED IT!
so, to recap, more cats, less crap food. seems like a good trade off to me. what do you think..?

magilla gorilla

well, i saw king kong. holy crap it was good. the most amazing use of cgi i have ever seen. and the story, acting, direction, editing, and every other goddam thing about it was not only rad but powerful. its a really great film, folks. narnia on the other hand is good. just good. worth a matinee, not much more. thank you disney, again, for f$#%ing up another beautiful classic with your christian, happy crappy bullshit. the captain of the secret police is named FENRIS. as in the norse diety, not Maugrim. cool name, but this guy already had a cool name in the book. there was other stuff, but i don't want to mess up the story for anybody...
on to real life, i am now working at EB games. its cheap, but really easy. and since you all know i just got a 360, it'll make it easier to afford those 60 dollar games they're making.
also, it looks as if we at the club are finally getting our security jobs back. for those of you who didn'r know, the club owner hired on a private security company because he just sewed up a large lawsuit from a couple of years ago. for the sake of insurance we were asked to dig for some other work around the club. i have been given the temporary position of assistant house manager. cool, but no big pay raise, i helped in the coat check, and was going to get some cashier work out of it. now the small private security company I work for is getting hired whilst the other company, who SUCK!, are getting the boot. today, as a matter of fact. yay for me! and i not only get my happy kicking drunks out job back, but i get a raise, too! awesome.
well, that is that as they say.
smootches, happy yule, and happy birthday imaginary diety guy!

11.18.2005

punk rock orchestra tomarrow night at the club i work, cool. and princess superstar is playing in dec. groovy fun. one of my favorite hip hop groups played the club, the almighty shape shifters, and it was rad. they are good, cool people. well, akuma and die young are they oly two who could make it, but THEY were cool. other than that just loving life.

holy rugrats, batman!!!!

well, i'm all a googley eyed. a very cool, wonderful friend of mine just sent me word that she is preggers! i'm so pleased for her and her hubby! you should all think good thoughts for laura and jason, even if you have no idea who they are. they're great people and deserve all the good karma they can get. so for those of you who do know them and havn't heard heres you notice. hugs and kisses to them.
um, other than that there ain't too much going on here in the east bay. got a little writing done, doodling up a storm, smootchin' and lovin' with blue. life is good. happy.
well, thats about it for now, more as it comes...

8.29.2005

spatula!!!!!

well, lets see. got a raise at the kitchen, cause all of the other hiree's are horrible or b grade cooks. seems in oakland there are a lot of screw ups... who would have known..? but of course what that means is the owner george, wants me there 24/7. now i do have that other job, you know the one- nightclub security which is not cooking, fun and interesting, better paying, and really isn't cooking. so it is intersting how people try to get you to do something for little encouragement. i know he can't pay me enough to get me to quit the club and work for him full time. i don't think there are many small restaurants that are willing to pay 17-20 bucks an hour. sorry, thats just what its worth to me... and with the schedule over at the club filling up nicely, i don't plan on ditching that place anytime soon. oh well.
strangely, im not bored or sick of the kitchen. i have been out of kitchens for almost a year, but i was really unhappy in them. like, depressed, anxiety ridden unhappy. but here, it just kind of floats by. i don't work late hours in a dungy, crappy, hot sweaty funky hole filled with grease and rotting tomatoes, and my bosses are actually nice, happy people. weird...
well, enough for today. more of the news thats fit to print, when i have news thats fit to print...

8.22.2005

WARINING! if you're tender about jesus, you proboably shouldn't read this...

loud ass keyboard in a quiet room! i'm currently at my wonderful girlfriends work, a college library, typing this in the computer lab/room thingy. it's quiet..., too quiet. some other schmoe is in here, also being quiet. i miss noise sometimes, like now, uncomfortable silence...
got the "new" clutch e.p., it's actually thier first album with a couple of new tracks added on and some demo crap. its really cool! love that clutch, seen them nine times live. yup, NINE TIMES. will see more. i have to, there are rules, you know...
also reading "holy blood, holy grail" about how jesus didn't really die on the cross, and he got married to the magdalene and had a littler of mewling, holy rugrats, and somehow landed the entire kingdom of france for his friggen bloodline, the MEROVINGIANS, and then they were nearly wiped out, cause no one likes a martyr, and a bunch of other crap that was skimmed over in the divinci code, like the templars and the priory of sion, the rosicrucians, and shit like that. *whew!* add a couple of unicorns and it's almost like D&D. thats dungeons and dragons, mom. anyway, yeah. as you can see, i'm still getting into my horrible conspiracy theory crap, which seems to alienate more and more people yet drives me ever forward to new and interesting ways of hating the government and religion and pretty much anybody in authority. did i tell you i finally got the elder sign tattooed? probably. well, i know i'm protected from the deep-space- squid-monsters-that-will-surely-eat-you-minds-with-insanity. are you?
been reading and drawing lots. working a little, which isn't so great, but i'm trying to get a few more hours. i really don't want or need a third job, but i'm getting crap hours from both of my other jobs. guh. rat bastards. anyway, we'll see what it looks like after a couple more weeks.
other than that you know the drill, same ol' same ol'...
smootches!

8.11.2005

BRAINS!!!!!

okay. so i've been drawing way more lately. i guess when i see certain comic book artists i feel like, "hey, i can do THAT." so here i am, new pad and pens, doodling to my hearts content. still working at the club and the restaurant, and i stil dig them both. pretty cool. i have become one of the better cooks in the kitchen as everyone keeps telling me. that does make me feel pretty damn good about being there. the crew is cool, and i enjoy thier company as well as thier help on the job. everything is going great. may get a chance to check out hawaii. a friend is going to live out there for 6 months and has invited blue and i to come and stay with him for a few... never been, always wanted to go.
on net news, there is this RAD zombie flash cartoon online. go to www.xombified.com and check it out. i love zombies. and you should to, cause when they take over you're gonna need to know how to fight them.
smootches!

7.11.2005

S A T U R D A Y night!

well hello there!!! hiya kids. just got out of chinatown and i bought a whole buncha knives! YEAH! i friggen love knives. so sharp and pointy and shiny, and sharp and pointy... pointy. anyway i needed a few for work and i wanted to check out some of the chinese clevers cause i loved when i got to use some in seattle i really wanted one (or four...) of my own. so i got a bunch of mediocre yet still useful knives for 28 bucks. what a deal!saw land of the dead. good, not as good as night of the living dead, but then... nothing is as good as that... going to go see an australian zombie flick tonight called "Undead". should be excellent.
my baby treated me so goddamn good for my birthday. it really was a great time. usually i get all funky on my birthday. i either do too much and get all stressed, or not enough, and get all internal and depressed. but for some reason, i really didn't do that much at all, and yet i had a great time. probably because of blue being there 22 out of 24 hours of the day. anyway thanks to everybody who wrote and called and wrote some more, i love you guys, and i'm glad to have you around, so to speak. i think 28 is going to be really great year...
as soon as i get my tattoos done i'll get a picture taken and try to post it, or them since i think it's going to be a few small tats.
saturday. fear that day oh my bretheren, fear it. for the PEET will be on the coast, the waters will rise and chaos will consume the holy city of San Francisco. children will be taught, hair will fall, man boobs will jiggle with uproarious laughter, and there will be mayo everywhere. fear, mankind, fear. but you better dance anyway...

7.05.2005

i have vroom vroom...

okay, i'm back. for a minute anyway...
things are still great here in oakland. working in a little diner is nice, not what i wanna be doing for the next 12 years, but it'll do for now. everyone there is great, nice and helpful. the club work is still cool too. loving it. still don't have a computer, but as you can see its not stopping me. watched phantom of the paradise with a friend of ours, brett. love that fricken movie. bought it i loved it so damn much. dude, death records! yeah... peet will be here soon. goody goody! i can't friggen wait. mayo and hairiness all over norcal! werd.
batman begins-AWSOME!
war of the worlds-RAD!
gonna see land of the dead on my bday. cannot wait. and on the 15th i'll get the elder sign tattoo i have been holding out for. and maybe a couple others, too. lovecraft, baby!
okay, enough for now. write more soon.

6.15.2005

on a dark and stormy night...

okay, so here's the deal. i don't yet have a working computer in the apartment, and i'm now done with the job that has internet accaess so you might not read too much from me in the near future. i'll get on the net as much as i can, but who knows how sporadic that'll be...
i have been checking out your blog ilona, i'll try to get a link to it soon, cause you're friggen cool.
other than all that, everything is sparkling. lovin' life right now. finally getting some money to myself, and i'm saving which i'm not very good at so there!

and don't worry, you look good, really...

6.02.2005

going out west where the wind blows tall...

as you goodly natured and attentive personages can plainly see, i have added a certain someone to my links. he is by far one of the most creative and enjoyable people i have ever had the graciousness of knowing. he is tone controller, or as you mere folk may have heard him reffered to as daniel. he and his wonderful little ilona, (or if you wish, she and her beautiful daniel) have moved themselves toward the expanse of the pacific ocean. Portland to be exact. to whit, they are closer to me then most likely... you. i win.

well, i am now back in the kitchen. but don't fret my friends, it is of the style of kitchen i love. breakfast food. mama's royale cafe. a mere three blocks from the abode. i love it. they listen to old soul all day long. yay! wonderful little blue is looking into getting a job at berkely, she applied earlier this week so if you all could do me the greatest favor and think good thoughts towards her working there, i think we can get this ball of magic mumbo-jumbo rolling. she desrves it. she is the kick assingest, punk rockingest, most lovable angry little librarian i have ever met. and she's yummy in my soul.
alright, smootches to you all, more as it happens.

5.19.2005

i am smrt...

yes, yet again a list of my favorite things...

Vice magazine. so scary and funny and f*cked up. i love it.
waiting for episode III. the ROTS, as in d's old crew. the waiting may just be better than the actual film, but i don't care. i am a geek.
my neighborhood. it's quiet, quaint, and there is a really good comic shop right down the street. and the taco joint makes bad ass steak burritos. yum.
my new boots. i just got the old safety... paratrooper jump boots. the good stuff in life.
Haunted, the new Chuck Palahniuk book. ugh. i shiver every time i open it.
my MOTORCYCLE. yes, thats right kids. i have a Kawasaki KZ 650. and bammer has a OHC 400. as soon as i get all the legal shit together, it is ON.
my apartment. so nice, comfy and quiet. unless i decide to rock out, then its like a concert hall. and i'm the star.
crossword puzzles. early in the week they make me feel less stupid.
talking to Daniel, Ilona, Sara, Peet, Keegs, Shiela, and Ozel on the phone. y'all know how to keep a brother going.
knowing that Daniel and Ilona are closer and closer to me. WEEKEND VISITS TO PORTLAND.
my birthday, getting closer and closer... new tattoos... heh.

okay, that about does it for this installment. more when the mood strikes me.
lovin' ya in SF!

5.10.2005

x marks the spot...

lets see..., what the hell has been going on here... got a bicycle to get back and forth form the BART stations. neet-o. freaking out like the enormous dork i am over Star Wars: Episode III ROTS. work is going well, i still really dig the nightclub security work, cause those kats are keen. the lp stuff, not so much. it's getting less and less worth it to come to work in the city for crap pay. i'm looking around the neighborhood for some better paying stuff, and hopefully lots less travel time. although, this travel thing may just start working itself out, you see my boss at said nightclub has a thing for rebuilding old moorcycles, and now says i should get over to his place on thursday to see if i like one of the bikes he has in his garage. so it looks like i'm about to get a motorcycloe. don't worry, fair readers, i'm the epidemy of a defensive driver. and there are helmet laws here, which i would wear if it was legal or not... so wish happy, well driven thoughts for me, so i can get that rad bike and not pay for tyhe friggen BART every goddam day.
life on the home front is great. the apartment is rad, my little blue haired girl is doing better with her foot. its still bugging her, but she's making progress. and she's freaking out to tom waits. guh. will the wonders never cease?
daniel and ilona are soon to be northwestward bound. it's good country up there. i know they've been calling but they keep hitting me at work or under the cover of sleep from a long night of shit-talking drunks. but no worry, i soon will be up to the forested wonders to see them amongst a few others i miss dearly. and to show off the sweet little lass i have on my arm.
well kids, i'm off to work some. i guess i can put in a quick hello so everybody knows i'm in the building.
boogely...

wait for it...

5.02.2005

she says i chortled...

fantomas was DRASTICALLY amazing. a powerful show for all to see, and we got to glance upon his rugged demeanor right before the show, as he left for some fine dining somewhere. the mike. lots of work these last few weeks, driving me a bit buggy i must admit. now my boss over at the club is pushing me to get a motorcycle. to which i am not really against. it is the most intelligent mode of transportation in this fine metropolis. and i'd look really hot, at least thats what my girlfriend says. biker midget! anywho, back to the grind of loss prevention.
YEE-HA!

4.08.2005

feet, and the smell of success

so the bammer is out of commission for the month. she had her widdle footy surgerated on and now she's stuck in bed for the remainder of the month. i get to take care of her, feed her, prop up her foot, sit her up, lay her down, and generally help out. she's doing alright, random bouts of strange pain followed by steep relief from the pain pills she was given by ze doktor. she needs some visitors, for i think my simple little face may be driving her a we bit nutty.
in other news, i will be attending the FANTOMAS show at the fillmore! yay! i have yet to see a big show here in sf. and i've never been to the fillmore. so fun all around. other than that the new apartment is still RAD! loving it out in the east bay. quiet, chill, there's a comic shop 2 blocks away... need i say more?
anywho, on to the wonders of loss prevention. shoplifters beware.

3.23.2005

ink, birthdays, and rock and fucking roll!

okay. bammer just got a new tattoo the other day, and now i am freaking out. FREAKING. i really really want some new ink, but my ass is poor. i got bills to pay. there are a couple of guys i know who are tattoo artists without shops, so i may try to go that route. i did it before and i'm sure i'll do it again. ol' blue and i have decided to make it our tradition for birthdays to get each other ink. since its something we both love, and it will never really let you down, as presents go. it all started when she told me to not be suprised if she drags me into a tattoo shop for my b-day. so i got the idea to get her some ink, and it all fell into place from there. i'm not sure what i'm getting next, if i wait till my b-day(yeah..., right.) i'll start the BIG 'UN. a back piece for the top half of my back, if i don't wait i'll probably go for the elder sign. if you have to ask, you don't know me very well... unless of course a certain artist i happen to know and love gets around to drawing that rad zombie i have been waiting as patiently as humanly possible for...
in other news, the newest Queens Of The Stone Age album is fricken amazing! goodbye annoying bassist who sang crap songs, hello sweet desert rock. Billy Gibbons from ZZ Top is on the freaking thing, how can you go wrong with that!? i'm starting to think this may be a good year for music. lots of great stuff so far.
bammer and i are getting along swimmingly. the apartment is rad! we work pretty goddamn well together. see, she's a librarian, and has a thing for catalogging and putting everything in order. so she'll randomly go through bookshelves and movie stacks and cd stacks and just put them all in her weird, dewey decimal system maligned, HAL from 2001, "a place for everything and everything in its place" order. she's gone through my cd's twice now, and we've only been there for three weeks. it's great cause she likes doing it, and i've got LOADS of crap for her to cycle through. just you wait till she starts on my comics... heh. i love it.
ooh! and a big congrats to SARA! happy grad, baby. smootches, sorry i missed your call. talk to you soon!
and happy friggen birthday to KATIE! thats champion juicer if you didn't know. send her big love for her b-day, cause you know you goddamn well love her. i do.
hasta lafawnduh!

3.10.2005

artistic or autistic...

alright, i know i've been a little schmoopy lately, with all the cutsey crap, but hey i got a really cool chick, so kiss my ass.
frank kozik was in the store today, signing a big ass book of rock posters. there were other artists and the writers of said book, but the only one i knew or gave a shit about seeing was kozik. his posters are ill, and he's a big ol' artiste'. it was weird cause i could tell he didn't really want to be here. he just sat in the back, and moped around for the most part. it was still neat-o to see him and get a poster signed. even if he was bored. i always say only boring people get bored. but that would mean kozik is boring... who knows.
the apartment is RAD! good times and great oldies. quiet, chill, my games and movies and cd's are there. it doesn't smell. i'm bringing a big ass bag of my books there tonight. i get done at 11. i have to ride the bart and walk a 25 minute walk home. i don't really mind at all. cause now i'll have even more reading material there. see, being the HUGE dork that i am, i reread most of my books, mostly comics, all the time. so's i can quote them at the most opportune times. WHAT A DORK!!!!! i quote comic books, people. and star wars, but so does bammer, and she's hot and sleeps with me, so she is excluded from dorkdom... NOT!
more on my wonderful girlfriends dork-osity when we meet again. mind of a 14 year old boy. love it.

3.07.2005

bammers b-day.

birthdays... today is the lovely and talented BAMMERS b-day, so y'all should get a big huggy type happy birthday message to her. she's 29 and lovely as ever. if you didn't know, love-knife is the link at the sidebar to her own special blog, check it out.
moved into the new apartment this weekend. it is heaven. quiet, calm, and she's there. so you can see how pleased i am to be there also. oakland is not as bad as the rumors persist. i live in piedmont, which is an amazing neighborhood. and theres a comic shop down the street! just a few more essentials, like a couch, and we'll be set. so anyone not in the city, come visit us! i miss you guys.
word to your mothers...
